Littlebigplanet Review

Hey! Were going out tonight. Hey! To kick out every light. Hey! Take anything we want!

Kudos to who can guess that song, anyways, on to the review.

Game Title : Littlebigplanet
Firmware Required : Gen-d, i think. Or decrypt it.
Game Description :A little sackboy runs all over the world of littlebigplanet, completing tasks, puzzles and missions all resulting in some amazingly fun gameplay.
Number Of Players : 1, but there is sharing levels etc.
Genre : Platformer, but its a lot more then that.
Retail Price : £29.99
Graphics out of 10 : 9
Sound out of 10 :10
Controls out of 10 : 9
Gameplay out of 10 :10
Overall out of 10 : 10

Everything you would expect from this game, and more. Some people say "Its running and jumping, wow". Its not. The game has a wide variety of puzzles to complete in levels, As well as some really fun gameplay, such as firing a sponge cannonball in a dragons mouth. Yes, its all here, and then there is more. The create a level mode is really good, although you need to play a little to unlock some more stuff, as with any game really. But, oh no, we can't share online with c/fw :(. Oh, wait, yes we can! Mr ipenguin got This (http://www.pspmod.com/forums/all-about-psp-games/59600-sharing-littlebigplanet-levels-without-psn-cfw.html)

So, one small problem, no multiplayer, But, with the amount of content here, you'll feel no different.

Left 4 Dead 2- More weapons than you can shake a Preorder bat at

Image: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/19/Left_4_dead_2.jpg

I loved the first L4D, So when Valve announced L4D2 you can imagine I was filled with joy when L4D2 was announced. To be honest I was a bit disappointed at the demo since there was hardly any new content other than the melee weapons, but the full release really brought me to the light.
*
Level Design/Attributes: 9/10*
Seems pretty high right? Wrong. Valve took their time making these campaigns. The game is based in the New Orleans area, so you can expect swamps, small towns, etc. My favorite part was near the end of "Hard Rain". If you have yet to play it, you are missing a great scene. You walk blindly through a storm thats so thick that you could actually walk into a Witch. Then the witch would claw you like a hungry bear.

*Characters: 7.5/10*
Each character in L4D had some sort of personality. Francis hates everything, Bill was the war veteran on the brink of insanity, Louis was the business guy who was ready for everything, and Zoey was the girl with a can-do attitude. In L4D2, You have Nick, the gambler who thinks only about himself, Coach, the leader, Ellis, the stereotypical young southerner, and Rochelle... who, to me, just seems to plain and boring. She hardly has any of the humorous lines that the other characters have and just seems to be there.

Also, Ellis is the best character in the L4D universe. Hands down.

*The Infected: 9/10*
The game introduces 3 new infected. The Jockey, who jumps onto a survivors head and pulls him into trouble (Zombie horde, fire, etc.). The Spitter, who spits corrosive acid onto the battlefield. And finally the Charger, who runs at high speed and grabs onto a survivor, then begins to crush their body into the ground over and over again until the target is dead. Also, Witches walk around instead of sitting. So think twice before shooting into a crowd of infected.

Also, "Uncommon Common" are introduced. These Uncommon Common are exclusive to each campaign and have their own abilities. For example, in the Dark Carnival campaign you might come across a zombie covered in bulletproof armor. The only way to kill him is to shoot him in the back.

And yes, the original infected are also present with a new look.

*Weapons: 10/10*
Valve decided to introduce melee weapons into the game that take the place of your pistol. The melee weapons never break or wear. You could pick up a sharp katana that can cut through the zombies like butter, or the pre-order baseball bat that bonks the zombies to death. (Note: the pre-order bat is NOT exclusive to YOU, but to everyone in the game with you. So if you only preordered you would still share the bat with everyone else.)

Also, the firearms have also increased. In the demo I noticed AK-47's and Magnums, things you would hardly see in an area that has been plagued with infected. But then I realized the military was here, which makes sense. I was a bit jarateed at the grand total of 5 primary weapons in L4D1. I knew some people who wanted stronger weapons, but in a real zombie apocalypse you take what you can get. I'm glad Valve gave a legit storyline so these weapons feel like they actually BELONG.

*Conclusion:*
Valve did it again. They have yet to disappoint me. They have pretty much dominated the zombie game market. The game is amazing. Here's hoping for more DLC,

This is my my opnion. It is pretty solid but it doesn't have the best controls though and it might take a little getting used too. The graphics are okay and there are plenty of enviorments. But who cares about graphics. The campaign is intresting but pretty short. Thank god they have galactic conquest but it is just like Renegade Squadron. The multiplayer is a little laggy sometimes(it is probably just me cause I don't have the best connection). New things are the orbital strike cannon, ion cannon, and life pods can be ejected from a ship. There are space battles but you're only stuck with 2 starfighters to choose from. Otherwise it is all the same except when you die in the campaign you have to restart from the last checkpoint. I am not going to give the game a score though.

Game Title : Star Wars Battlefront Elite Squadron
Firmware Required :None as far as I know of.( Running 5.00 m33-6)
Game Description :Third person shooter, story revolves around twins(I don't want to spoil the game for people who are getting it)
Number Of Players : Multiplayer 16, Ad-hoc
Genre : Action, Sci-Fi
Retail Price :$29.99(not including tax)
Graphics out of 10 :N/A

Jak and daxter - The lost frontier

Ok guys, my 3rd review. Enjoy.

Game Title : Jak and daxter - The lost frontier
Firmware Required : Not sure
Game Description : Another chapter in the jak and daxter series, exclusive for psp.
Number Of Players : 1
Genre : Action/adventure
Retail Price : £29.99
Graphics out of 10 : 10
Sound out of 10 : 9
Controls out of 10 : 9
Gameplay out of 10 :9
Overall out of 10 : 9.5

One of psp's big releases this year.
A must have for all jak and daxter fans. I have only played it breifly, but will be playing it more and update it. There are PLENTY of surprises in this one, so watch out. The controls are easy, gameplay runs very well and the graphics, well, Probably the best on the psp yet. Gave it a 9.5 for a couple of un-noticable faults. Yet, this, is everything it was hyped up to be, and more.

Hey guys, my second review. Here goes.

Game Title : Smackdown Vs Raw 2010
Firmware Required : I Think you may need a patched version, or gen-d to run it, i am not to sure.
Game Description : Another installment of the top wrestling game.
Number Of Players : More then 2, not sure about the maximum.
Genre : Wrestling
Retail Price : £29.99
Graphics out of 10 : 8
Sound out of 10 : 9
Controls out of 10 :8
Gameplay out of 10 :9
Overall out of 10 :9

Being a wrestling game fan myself, this is a must have for any wrestling fan. It has introduced a variety of new modes this year, including story designer, and improving gameplay a lot more as well as the create a superstar modes. If you are not a wrestling game fan, and fancied giving this a try, there is a learning curve, but when you get used to it, its very enjoyable.

Psp Review: Pursuit force

Hey guys, i was recently looking through some of the first psp games, and discovered pursuit force. I just had to write a good review about this, seeming as to me, its one of the best psp games i have played.

Game Title : Pursuit force
Firmware Required : Im pretty sure any o/fw or c/fw can run this.
Game Description : A arcade style get away and shoot style, with a couple of helicopter, boat, and on foot shooting missions.
Number Of Players : 1
Genre : Action
Retail Price : Around 5 quid.
Graphics out of 10 : For the psp, a good 8.
Sound out of 10 :7
Controls out of 10 :8
Gameplay out of 10 :9
Overall out of 10 :9

This, is a seriously good game. You are a cop, put into a "elite" team of police. Your job is to take down the city's biggest gangs. You have a wide choice of gangs to choose from, although you start with about 3, unlocking more as you go along.

it has a very nice classic arcade styles to it, and in almost every mission you are getting away from, or chasing gangs. Around 65% of this is car missions, and the rest are boat, on foot, and various other vehicle missions. The way you can jump from car to car, or boat to boat, or whatever, and then shoot who ever is in it is a very fun part of the game. One bad thing, is that at times, it can get repetitive, but it varies environments to try to stop that.

Overall, this is a very good game. a definite 9/10.

I highly recommend this game, Especially if you like this arcade shooter/driving style of game.

if you have played it, tell me what you think. Also if you know any games like it, tell me :D

Well what'a ya expect, its a DS port of a GTA game. It has your standard hijacking, fighting, gunfire, prostitutes, etc. Of course the twist in this is the over the head view is sorta back. Its not horrible, but it makes me wonder why they ported this. I mean the gameplay is ok, but the biggest problem becomes apparent soon on, driving is a BITCH. You can use either the analog or d-pad for movement, but each has their problems and faults, d-pad gives you more control in cars, but walking or running around is clunky and crucifies your hands, analog works fine on foot, but driving lacks control. Here's what will happen you'll try to make a turn and swerve into a car/wall and at some point tap a cop car and then go to a car chase. The game isn't all a downgrade, the email and yes GPS! has been incorporated into the game, and while it works, it just makes me long for a proper 3-d version. The minigames from the DS are ok in the game, its kinda refreshing to not be blocked by lock doors, and instead to have to do a varying type of minigame, but I just started playing so it has yet to wear on my nerves. Overall I give it an 8 out of 10

PROS:
NEW GTA
Incorporates new features (YEAH GPS!)
Storyline isn't half bad
Gameplay is fun

CONS:
2 1/2 D, I remember that but I don't want to
Driving Control lacks precision
Annoying Cam (again 2 1/2 D)
Back in Liberty City, Again
