Hello and thanks in advance for checking out my thread. Alright so I got a psp 1001 in a trade yesterday, and I really wanted to put some of my ps1 games on it. I did some research about converting them into eboot and was successful at doing such and copying them onto the memstick. However, when I try to load them I get a screen talking about how the game has been converted to play on the psp, a black screen for a few secs, and then an error message (copyright invalid). I was told it was already modded, but im not entirely sure about things like cfw ( I know it refers to custom stuff and no the ofw, but I have no idea in terms of compaitibility in terms of what im trying to do.) I just want to play ps1 games on my psp, please halp.

Key info
psp 1001
version 6.35 pr0
on the memstick the mod is called 635 HEN by coldbird and VF
I put popsloader on it yesterday

Do i need a different CFW, or am I just missing something?

When going to games nothing shows up, but Ratchet and Clank & a few other games show up. So the problem seems to be with just Dissidia and Crisis Core. Am I doing something wrong or is there more to this? I haven't kept up with the whole PSP scene for a year or so now.

Consolizing a PSP-3000. Possible to automatically force component AV-out?

Hi PSPMOD-forums. I'm building a consolized PSP-3000 which is going really well. I'll be hooking it up to my HDTV via component cables. At the moment I have to press and hold the Display button down for five seconds to make the PSP output though the AV-out port. This is bearable, but every time it goes to the set time/date screen when powering up, I have to get past that before I can output to the TV. That can be pretty annoying.

I'm running a 6.20 CFW that supports plugins. Unfortunately, as far as I could find there is no plugin that automatically enables TV-out.
Also I accidentally entered the Recovery Menu of the CFW yesterday when in TV out, and without the LCD screen attached to the PSP, and learned the hard way that this menu doesn't support AV-out.

A plugin or hardware mod that definitively selects AV-out, and preferably for everything (recovery menu) is what I really need to make this project perfect. I'm not interested in having the picture upscaled to fullscreen, as I use a secondary upscaling device (the XRGB-Mini: Framemeister) that does a much better job than the upscaling plugins I've seen.

A plugin that disable the set time/date screen at startup would also be cool, but alas I haven't found any when searching.

Hopefully these things already exists and someone here will be kind enough to show me in the right direction.

Thanks :)

Hey yall. looking for a little assistance, as this is NOT the first time i've moded a console, but i am new to modding PSPs. also, i searched different forums and threads for about 3 days before posting this, so i have looked on my own lol

PSP Phat
SN psp1001
System Software 6.60 pro-c2

loaded 6.6 using the eboot file, then used the PRO-C2 files, so im pretty sure that im on a CFW.

i've tried 2 or 3 different ISOs/CSOs in the J:\ISO\VIDEO folder. but under Game (on the PSP home screen) right next to the PRO update and CIPL flasher, only one icon exists, and it just says "Corrupted Data"

any suggestions?

Hello, first post, I apologize if I ask a couple questions, but these are interrelated to my core problem and ive scoured forums and simply cant find solutions that apply to me.
I own a phat 1001, running 6.39 me-5 CFW, I hacked originally to play my old ps1 games, and updated only to play newer games that required it. This eventually brought me to installing popsloader, which bring me to my first question; I can no longer bring up pops. I messed around over the years and didn't have the file on my stick, so I put the pops files back into seplugins, my psp acknowledges it, and I have it enabled, but holding R does nothing.
This leads to my second problem; in the beginning I used clone and popstation for making my eboots, this worked well. but now I cant get a newly created eboot to play, some of my older rips work still ex:FF9, RE3 etc. but FF7 will either hang on black screen after warning, or kick me with error fffffffff, and 8001yada. Thus I thought I should try a different app, so I got psx2psp and tried making eboots and iso files with that, but eboots give me the same errors and ISOs show up as corrupted. Ive messed around with ISO mode no UMD, and other settings to no avail. ive never ran ISOs before but when psx2psp makes one for me it doesn't have .iso behind it its just called what I put in for a name. could I just use my CD image?
As a note, my emulators still work fine but i'm going crazy trying to troubleshoot this. I don't run chickhen, or anything else.
I have no internet at home anymore so I can only get new programs to my PC with flash drive etc. Do you think I should upgrade my firmware to solve some of theses issues?
Again, my apologies if i'm breaking forum guidelines, I swear I read them, but frustration got the better of me. any guidance is greatly valued, Thanks and nice to meet y'all.

i can count on my hands how many times ive held a PSP.. i know nothing about them at all. i DO however know what theyre capable of and i want to do it.

i was given my PSP about 2 or 3 days ago with nothing but the handheld itself. its black and i immediately took it about and cleaned it it was pretty dirty and all that and hasnt been used in quite a while.

i bought a charger cable, a memory card adapter for it so i can use micro SD card (cell phone type) and also a set of silver buttons to make it look cool.

system specs.

PSP 1001

running on 5.03 OFW.

plans are to get it to run torrented games on it as he has lost a few of the games he has saves for. either ISO format or the other one. and the typical mods people usually run. im very picky about my torrents and i always makes sure they are secure as possible so please dont bash on me for torrents.

ive heard something about a pandora battery being used for modding but dont know much about that. so buying an extra may be in my future. im no stranger to electronics. but software is where i need the help in.

i want to know what CFW you guys would recommend for how i want to use it. thanks

My Battery model is a "PSP-280" Made in China. And i Don't know whether to make it a pandora one i need to do the method of cutting the wire or seting the serial to 0x0000000 using homebrew apps.

And just another curious question:
why does everyone need to cover their MAC address (like on youtube), i covered mine in the picture below just in case.
Thanks
