I have been in the scene for quite a while, but dropped out back in 2010.
I recently bought a PSP 1001 Phat and decided to dive back in.
I successfully installed 5.00 m33-4 using Hellcats, MMS Maker, Pandora, all that good stuff so I have some pretty good brick protection.
I noticed the newest cfw (6.60 PRO C2), so I decided to go ahead and update to 6.60 OFW, then install the PRO CFW just to be up-to-date with everything.
Installation ran smoothly, ran the CIPL Flasher, and was left with a beautiful CFW for my PSP. I am very pleased.

However, I have noticed two major issues with the CFW since installing.
The first issue is that I cannot open my Internet Browser under any circumstances (regardless of plugins, themes, etc.) on 6.60 PRO-C2.
When I press the Browser icon, all I get is the loading symbol in the bottom right of the PSP, but then it stops and nothing opens.
I've done some researching and discovered Netfront Beta 4 (and the v6 Mod) and I can do without the factory browser, but I recently ran into problems trying to update the Javascripts of GoTube using the Radioupdate, because I need to have access to the Official Browser in order to use it. I've done my research on the web and cannot find any solution, other than one I found myself and that is:
Hard reboot PSP while holding L-Trigger and downgrade back to 5.00 M33-4. My internet browser works completely fine when on M33 CFW, but I do not want to run on M33. I would love to be able to keep the PRO CFW and find some kind of fix to this issue.

My second issue is that, once again only on PRO CFW, the PSP will not open up my Video folder under the XMB. When I press the memory stick folder under Video, the loading icon appears in the bottom right and continues on forever without loading anything, and I cannot use any other feature of the PSP while it is doing this (cancel out, VSH menu, Home, Volume, Brightness, Nothing), so I have to hard boot it to get back to the XMB.
I also noticed that the orange Memory Stick LED does not blink, flash, or light up even once but this only happens with the Video folder.
Annoyingly, once again, this only happens on PRO CFW 6.60 C2, but does not create a problem on other CFW's.

I would really appreciate and LOVE for someone to supply me with a fix, or even just to know that I'm not the only one this happens to, instead of being told to downgrade back to M33 CFW.
I really enjoy the features and accessibilities of the PRO CFW, and would realy enjoy keeping it. Thank you to anyone who has read this far, and PLEASE inform me on some kind of help.
Thank you, again.

Hi people!
Being an old-school-video game enthusiast, I 've decided to load a few emulators on my newly PSP (1004 it is, the cheap one I know!).
Ok, I have downloaded (for a start) GPSP Kai and caSTaway. Being a Gameboy Advance and Atari ST emulators respectively.

Had problems though with them:

GPSP
When loading the emulator there is this message "Error in load/start TV OUT module".
Ok, this is probably due to the lack of TV OUT on PSP 1004 (don't really care). The app finally loads and prompts me to choose a game-rom from my list :p
When displaying a game the screen somehow is divided into 3 identical screens! one is original (meaning correct brightness etc), the other two are somehow interlaced and of minimal brightness!
I've changed the 'Display Scaling' options (full-screen 16:8, scaled 3:2, unscaled 3:2, option 1, option 2) but no fix. :(

caSTaway
When loading it comes this message "The game could not be started (8002014C)". The exits (via o btn)

Well, I really got confused, probably both due to bad/buggy versions.
I cannot ask you for a hint on the above (as it is obvious that both had bugs).

What I need from you is to list here some working old-school-video game emulators for the PSP.
Name + Version of any emu someone had already tried and worked flawless.

Would be much appreciated! ;)

PS: if there are already similar threads here, please let me know!
