Downgraded to 1.5 and upgraded to 3.02 oeB and it's wonderfull. No more messing around with HEN-D and Devhook.

ok im a noob first off ill admit it i got a psp for christmas TA-082 board id like to downgrade but im kinda scared... could someone explain what is so great about 3.02 oe-b? also what is so great about homebrew ive heard all this great stuff about it whats the difference sorry again for me retarded question ive just heard so much about this and i would like to know more

Arby is your psp a ta-082,because i think the custom firmware doesnt work on those but im not completely sure

that's normal arby after a minute it will be completed it happend with mine too it just download the files to your memory card and completly safe

go to picture/memory stick and run hend you will see a blue screen for 4 sec and restarting.

I did it the Manual way and it worked perfectly :P

Now i have 3.02 OE-B Custom fw :P

I've been doing a lot of searching on the forums and I can't really find the answer to my question so I'll go ahead and ask... I picked up a PSP today from Costco (love the warranty..). I did my best to find a non ta-082, but it wasn't going to happen (checked the major retail outlets near me in Portland, OR). I did however pickup a 2.60 ta-082. From what I've read I believe I could upgrade this to 2.71 and then downgrade to 1.5. Am I correct?

My real question is whether or not a 1.5 ta-082 has the same capabilities as a non-ta-082, now that we can finally downgraed to 1.5. Is there a downside anymore, aside from the downgrade path being more difficult?

edit: Well, just thought I'd add that I successfully downgraded to 1.5. Very nice, the downgrader worked wonderfully.

I have two questions,
#1. Does this work for a TA-082 motherboard? It did say so in the tut but I just want to be sure.
#2. What makes 3.02 OE-B custom fw better then fw 1.50

Yes you downgrade to 1.5 thus allowing you to upgrade to the 3.02 OEB custom Dark Alex firmware. This means you can run all homebrew, just as you would on a 1.5.

The custom 3.02 firmware means you don't have to emulate the later firmwares to play the latest games. It means you have a browser etc etc. There's really no reason to stay on 1.5

Sorry for a maybe silly question. I am a new owner of the lovely PSP

I just got my PSP (MB: TA-082, FW 2.71) and plan to downgrade it. But I am still not very sure how HEND is run. I think i just need to go to photo-memory stick and then it will run automatically. How can I tell it run successfully ? Could someone here direct me a tutorial on HEND? Thanks.
