Help with psp

I just bought my new psp and i was wondering if u people can help me out with updating the psp to 2.0, also i wanna know if in 2.0 i can still listen to mp3 and watch videos that are on my memory stick pro duo thanx

what firmware are you on right now?
If it's 1.5 or 1.0 if your lucky DO NOT upgrade
Thos version right now can run homebrew which can do everything the 2.0 update does and more
The only thing the 2.0 gives you is a web browser (homebrew browsers have been out for a while), picture background (can be done with PSpersonalize), it also adds some support for other music/video/picture types which can also be done via homebrew
But if you have any firmware past 1.5 I would recommend upgrading to 2.0 because it has a better chance of getting cracked over 1.51 and 1.52 and if you do go for the 2.0 try and get the japense version from july it is supposed to still have exploits that the new 2.0 fixed if you cant find a copy of the july japense 2.0 id be happy to send you a copy of mine

But, you can't put your own .exe's on the memory card and launch them.. that's the disadvantages of 1.51 onwards. It sucks, but I reckon they'll all get hacked. It's happened before, I mean, just look at thehacking community for the iPods. :/

They've put some kind of signing on the code, it's gone through 128 bit encyption. Which apparently is a motherfucker to break.

hes asking to update his psp to 2.0 , that means he actuly WANTS to update,

anyways , yea ive herd you can still listen to mp3s and play videos with 2.0 , alll on ur memory stick.

just NO home brew applications at this time,

If you want homebrew go for 2.0
Hackers arent wasting their time with 1.51 and 1.52 since 2.0 is already out that would be pointless
Plus the browser and built in background changer have added in more exploits

Any ways if you were gonna update to firmware 2.0 then dont worry about emulators. It dont play them only 1.00 and 1.50. do.
