Ways to restart the PSP?

I was using a SNES emulator and the PSP crashed/froze. I could not restart it with the power switch and had to pull the battery.

Is there a button combination that might reset the PSP is this case.

Searching the forums I see "hard reset". Is this pulling the battery?

hardware reset is when you turn the psp completely off and when you turn it on you hold the power switch until the psp turns on then back off

no it;s not.. theere is no such thing as a hardware reset. cold reset/reboot is holding the button off till it switches off. HARD reset is taking the battery out for 10 mins to make sure no power is in the psp.

yaboyryan666> what's ur problem with that? the reboot prx allows you to press home and start to reboot your psp. that's a button combo to me....
I have also set me my psp to reboot when i select netorrk update...

I heard of the hardware reset when i had problems with devhook, someone on this forum told me what it was

i understand the emulator crash, happens to me all the time when i try to exit, i hate using the snes emulator for that..

anyway, theres no button combo, but you just have to hold the power button for a lot longer than usual till it turns off (about 5-16 seconds)

My SNES has never crashed... Mmm but thats maybe bcause I dont use it that much so the chances are less.

I found a bug in the SNES emulator..

As soon as you start the emulator, you'll see mario running from the left side of the screen to the right side and jump and hit the block..... if you let this animation run and end.. and wait a little more... if you try to exit the emulator it'll crash.

Sucks bad; but yeah.... theres no way you can save your psp from this, when did happens I just hold the power switch up for 10 seconds... the 3 seconds thing wont work when its froze.

i never had a crash, just push the HOME button when you wanna stop the emulator.
