he was downgrading to 1.50 ! only custom firmware have a recovery mode.

Hey, this has happened to me before... What I did to get out of this was turned on teh PSP with the power cable and battery in, then I let it sit for a minute, then unplugged the power cable.. the screen will come on but very dark, use that to get around if you have to.

I did this thinking i bricked my cousin's PSP.. try it.

hey i hope they had a unbricker for full bricks, because if we can recover a semi-brick we should be able to unbrick a full one.

Will try to see if UP will do the trick to unbrick, or may even get a new motherboard.

Are all motherboards compatible with each other? Saw a lot of people selling spare motherboards, but some sellers put the motherboard version, and some don't. Will open up my dead PSP to check which version of motherboard I got inside.

you can put any MB version insode your PSP. the MB pretty much is the PSP so that is what version your PSP will become. When buying off EBAY be sure they have a decent feedback score and more than 20 transactions. a lot of people sell their Bricked MB on EBAY, so beware.

YOU CANNOT FIX A FULL BRICK!! people should stop suggesting that you can, because you cannot. It is not like a semi-brick where you can re-flash a firmware from recovery mode. Fixing a full brick requires whatever kind of hardware they have at the Sony service center that can re-flash a MB that is dead with a corrupted or empty flash drive. I assume it is some kind of cable with pins that connect to points on the MB, then the cable is probably hooked up to a computer that has a program to flash firmware to the MB. If you dont have this, your not fixing a full brick.

Sometimes if you press the "Brightness button" when you see only "blank screen" the screen will show up, some people think their brick its just a little bug. Try that, if that does not work, try taking the battery out and leave it like that for at least a min and put it back.
