Default error message help

I just downgradded to 1.5 and am using some of the homebrews like pspersonalize, pvnc, and a few others, but I keep getting "the game could not be started (80020130)". is this because they were meant for a 1.0? or am I just doing something wrong?

i read something about getting 1.0 firmware with the downgrader, if you don´t use the eboot
or something about not doing the whole process
do you think is possible?

No, not really, because you would need a 1.0 upgrade eboot(none exist) and you would have to set your psp to something under 1.0

I don't know exactly why the exploit does what it does, could it be that it makes the system think it's a 1.0, like the wab version changer, and that's how it allows you to run the update? If I remember correctly, after the version changer came out, someone attepted to re-upgrade their psp to 1.5 , and it got to 99% and then 'almost bricked' the PSP. Perhaps he actually did sucessfully reflash it with 1.5 and didn't know it, since there was no change, and that's also what we see with the downgrade, failure at 99%. Anyways, That could be the reason it would say you have a 1.0 firmware.

ok, I got the gba emu to kind of work, I dont get an error anymore, it just begins to load, goes black, then goes back to the main screen. almost everything else works though. I kinda like 2.0 alot better, do you think I'd be bricked if I re-updated?

Well how the downgrade work is it writes the 1.0 index.dat(the file that contains the version info) to the 2.0 firmware, that then allows the 2.0 to bypass the 1.5 update version check.

That's what i thought. Certainly explains why people think they've gotten the 1.0 :P

It shouldn't brick it, you can go back to 2.0 if you want.

yeah I went back to 2.0, homebrew is pretty cool and all but I really like 2.0, so I'll just be patient until it's hacked.
