Default 3.51 M33 custom firmware installation guide

Just upgraded to 3.51 M33, but when I press the triangle button amd select delete or information in any game or video the psp freezes and turns off.

Any ideas.

BTW I just did the upgrade by putting a 32mb mem card in, then after the upgrade I inserted my 4gb card with all my cso's and movies on. All work fine.

PANIC OVER...LOL

Just formatted a 512mb card put a cso and movie clip on and all functions work just fine. Then put the same 4gb card in from the 3.40oe and all is fine.

I think that I did something as I replaced some of my flash0 settings from 3.40oe, this caused the freezing problem. I restored the flash settings to normal and its OK but its back to the standard psp icons...boring.

Cheers

I guess so, all the top menu icons worked, the volume bar, battery, sounds, xmb waves...its just that the problem came when it tried to delete or format something from mem card.

I guess I'll do mine on a trial and error basis at the moment...LOL

Does the 3.51oe-a upgrader have the recovery folder to go back to 1.5? Or I have to get it somewhere else?

Default 3.51 M33 custom firmware installation guide

Can somebody please help me? Obviously, with the new upgrade I lost my theme. My theme was just something I pieced together over the last couple of months and I forgot what was what. I did have my Resource directory backed up but I'm unsure what files I need to transfer to the new firmware.

I need to know what files to reinstall from the flash firmware Resource backup in order to restore these custom theme items listed below. Thank you very much.

Battery meter
Volume bar
All icons

Well, I did copy the entire Resource folder over and the system booted just fine and showed my icons/battery/volume bar perfectly. It's just that when I tried to do anything of merrit the system would lock up. So I switched the whole Resource folder back. If I could get a list of the specific theme items listed I would like to give it a shot and then report back. Cheers.

I did this too...LOL just found this, if its any help...

These files aren’t customizable:-

* system_plugin_fg.rco
* vsh.prx
* paf.prx
* common_gui.prx
* topmenu_plugin.rco that required a hacked vsh.prx

I just used the recovery for 3.03 oe c and got back to 1.5, then up to 3.40 oe-a with no problems.
I miss my custom psp icons and other stuff, until I actually need 3.51 I'll stay at 3.40 oe

^ 3.51 wont be needed yet unless u want to use remote play with ur ps3. But Sony is pushing for games to require 3.5 or higher firmware on ur PSP.
