Hey all,
this is my first post here so please do not flame me
I know that pandora's battery is the only way to mod a psp from all version above 3.5 or around there
I have upgraded to 3.93 worst mistake of my life
Is there a software in development that will make it possible to mod directly from 3.93 to 3.90 M33-3 or a future version lets say 3.95 M33-3 for example |

plan on $25-35 for a battery. I think.
Yeah, spending moeny sucks, but most people had to buy games to dawngrade, then once those got patched it switched to battery modding, which is pretty much going to be effective for all firmwares.

Just buy the battery or get it from someone at school for 5 bucks like i did. I went from 3.80 > 3.93 > 3.71 M33 so it doesnt matter what kind of OFW you have as long as you get the JigKicker. |

I had OFW3.93 on both my slim and fat. what you need is a pandora's battery and a MMS(magic memory stick) then if you get the right files it will downgrade and go straight to 3.71 M33. then you will need the OFW3.90 and 3.90 M33-3 and put them both in a filein game it should look like this on the MS PSP/GAME/UPDATE then inside update your 3.90 M33-3 will be named EBOOT.pbp and your OFW 3.90 will be named 390.pbp. then when you run 3.90 M33-3 from on the psp it will upgrade to that and then you will have CFW 3.90 M33-3 congrats.

there are many tutorials here, just look in the guides section or use the search function.
when i bought mine i upgraded a few times to 3.40, and at the time you had to be at 3.03 or lower to instell cfw. so there is always hope for you if you don't want to make a battery. i'd just buy one off ebay.

I modded a 3.93 slim yesterday.
1. Follow Hercules' guide to mod your battery. (I think you just cut a line, I bought a Datel.)
2. In Hercules' thread, he has a link to Catb50's easy installer, I downloaded the 2.0 lite version
3. Extract do all that crap, make sure you have Winrar
4. Go to YouTube and watch "Datel tool battery PSP" parts 1, 2, and 3 by Vampyre777, follow EVERYTHING he does. He'll walk you through the Catb50 installer.
5. after you make the magic memory stick, put in the tool battery with the MMS and I should ask you to install 3.80m33-5, I would do a nahd dump or whatever by pressing square and save that to your computer.
6. after the nahd dump the PSP shuts off. take out the tool battery and put it back in, and you should get that same screen, hit x to install and that's it!
VAMPYRE777's video is the bible when it comes to this, so watch that and follow it to a T. Once installed he'll show you how to udate to 3.90 m33-3 |

My question is that if you mod your battery can u use it again later on as a natural battery?
Also where can i purchase a datel tool or pandora battery?
also when u ahve custom firmware u can download full games and play them off your memory card right?
I found this: SONY DATEL PSP BATTERY SERVICE TOOL PSP SONY DATEL - (eBay.ca item 180230040446 end time 06-Apr-08 13:44:41 EDT)
Should i buy this also would this work with vamps video?

(please change hxxp to http)
Datel calls it TOOL, but its refered to as different things (TOOL, Pandora, JigKick)
Also, if you SoftMod your battery, yes you can return it to its original State. Or run Dark-Alex's Time machine which will let you keep it as pandora and use it as a Normal battery.
If you HardMod your battery, no you cannot return it to its original State.
As doing so involves Cutting a pin on a EEROM ic chip.
When you have custom firmware, yes you can run BACKUPS of YOUR games/Movies they will either be name .cso or .iso
