Booting Mystery!?
I paid 91 US dollars for this system. I wasn't expecting the bidding to go that high on ebay. My wife told me to bid the "most I'd be willing to spend". Since I was expecting this system to already have a pandora's battery or cfw, I set my max at 104usd. Some goofball (with 0 feedback) bid me up 50 dollars in just a few mins though. Oh well, for what has potential to be the holy grail of psp mods, maybe it wasn't such a bad deal after all.
Even if I don't fix it, I think it's quite possibe that I may be able to resell it to some more experenced modder.
About usbhostfs- I'm sorry to keep you all waiting, but I'm running late for work- it'll have to be this evening.

I won't, simply because I don't want the seller to be bothered too much by forum users. If you have some questions you'd like for me to ask them, I'd be willing to send them a message myself though. Sorry, I'm just a big fan of respecting others' privacy.

Booting Mystery!?
Just another update for everybody while I wait for my mem stick & battery.
One individual has already offered support via instant messenger. I would like at least one other person available to talk to when I do try to dump this. I know that tons of ppl have told me it's easy, but I REALLY don't want to screw this up. If there's anybody out here with lots of experience in this field please feel free to volunteer. I'll be adding my contact info in my profile of this forum.
Also, is it okay to post links to other fourms on this site? I want to be able to share all of the info that I've gathered so far, but I don't want to piss off any mods.

I'd be more than over joyed to help you out via msn or something. God knows I need a hobby anyways.
Edit: I'm pretty sure it's fine to link. Though the talk about piracy is preferred to be none on that forum.

ok well sorry about asking the name but I was just going to see if the seller would have any more psp for sale.
and for the nand dump, it is really easy. If you got Pandora and mms, just put in mms then Pandora batter. When the menu come up choose the "dump nand" option. It should be square. Then when it says it is done, put your memory stick in the computer and copy it over to ur pc.

No need to appologize for asking the name of the seller. I just didn't want them to get bombarded with tons of bothersome emails. I checked, and they don't have any more PSPs for sale now. They do have some ps3s that are as is though.
Anyway, I had a really friendly helper get me hooked up DC v5, which I will be using for the dump.

Mmm.. This is quite a interesting situation. I attempted to google it and all I found were posts that you posted on other forums to solve your problem. I've never seen anything like this, for I am not new to the homebrew scene, but I'm new enough to not be able to dump any nands :P. I would also like to say cheers to those helping.... its good to know theres people still willing to help in this world.
