Default help plzzz

i bought a psp this morning, the slim version (dexter) package.
the firmware on it right now is 3.80 (original, i didnt do anything to the psp yet)
I want to install the 3.90 m33-3 on it, what is the very first step i do to do the pandora battery and the 3.90 m33-3 thing? (cuz videos on youtube all start in a different version than mine, so im not sure)

For you to get custom firmware you have to follow every step in that guide. There is no hard bricking only hardmodding. Unless you know someone else who has custom firmware (CFW) on their PSP you have to hardmod.

If you already have hardmodded your battery or "pandorized" it then you need to make a magic memory stick (mms). To do that follow the next part in the guide that ctighe provided for you.

sry..im kinda messed up with the vocabulary here

so does that mean i HAVE TO open up my battery in order to play download games?

None of us can give you a guide on how to play downloaded games (ISOs). But you have to have CFW to play your own ISOs. So yes you HAVE to open up your battery. Follow the guide in my sig.
