new to all this so please be patient. Have just updated sons psp to 390m33-3.Need to know how to run games from memory stick as his umd drive is goosed it doesnt read disks.

Take your game(.iso).Plug in your USB cord,go to system/USB on your psp.On your comp.drag & drop your .iso or .cso game to the .iso folder in the root of the MS.If your cames are UMD & your UMD is broken you won't be able to rip them.
already have iso in correct folder but get error and forums suggest it is because no umd is inserted. As sons umd drive is bust need to know if it can be disabled..
Go into recovery /conf./umd mode the select sony np9660-no umd.There are other no umd drivers also.
check your cpu speed & crank it to 333 because some games only run at a higher cpu speed
