Firmware question

Ordered a psp in november due to arrive tommorow due to dealing with a shitty company. What firmware version can i realistically expect 2.01 or 2.5 or a chance of it being lower than that.

lol if u ordered one off the internet ur gurranteed for a 2.01 and higher but if u got one at a store they hav old shipments so u hav more chances of getting 2.0 and stuuf u kno its kinda common sence

ah well will just need to be patient till someone discovers how to downgrade later versions if the firmware is above 2.0.

Good to hear it man, do a search and you'll find out everything you can do with it, but you will want to check out the 2.0 EBOOT loader if you are going to keep your psp at version 2.0 or the MPH Downgrader to go down to 1.5.

I just use it to play HOTSHOTS .......and nothing else

Should i upgrade? I d like to try surfing the internets one day.

If you only want the browser update to 2.0 cause at least you can still play some roms and homebrew and the worse case scenario is you just downgrade to 1.5 if you get bored.

Bought a dvd off ebay before hand with all the downgrading software and fastloader utils on it. Does the job. Great to play streets of rage 2 on.

The Wal-Mart by me still has B's and C's for sale. I don't know if you can just ask for what version, but Wal-Mart employees who work there don't know too much about what they are selling, so I don't think they would question it.
