Magic Memory Stick with 4.01 (Help please)

So I know many people will tell me to use the search function or google, but I already have and I just dont get an exact answer.

So I sent my friend the Jigstick and Magic Memory stick so he can downgrade. Problem is he just upgraded to 4.01 offical firmware, and Im wondering if the Magic Memory stick will still be fine to use.
(its a phat PSP btw)

The magic memory stick I was using had two options. Downgrade to firmware 1.50 or to 3.71 M33 (and some other not to important options.)

Also if its not possible for him to downgrade with that magic memory stick, can he update the stick without using a custom firmware psp?

yes it will work,downgrader won't And yes he can upgrade the stick but it would probably be more of a hastle for him.Better off going strait from 4.01OFW to 3.71m33 then updating to whatever firmware he wants.dark alex.org

davewill posted "downgrader won't" and I dont really understand by what you meant by that since you said that he can still downgrade with that Magic memory stick.

I was already planing for him to go to 3.71 M33 and upgrade from there. I would rather avoid upgrading the stick I just wanted to make sure OFW 4.01 was still compatible with that stick.

I haven't found any mms that will work w/ ofw v4.01. Im in the same boat with a buddy's psp, sol till code is written to fix prob;em with current mms.
