I had the old version on here.. so now ive come back to update it.. old bugs fixed and some of the themes that didnt work now do.. installation is the same dont worry ^_^

I havent seen this here so i guess ill help out by posting

Download cxmb here: (3.2.1)
File Details-CXMB-v3.2.1-PSP-Homebrew-Applications -
(3.3) This one works with firmware 5.00m33+ (follow same instructions; wont add new description.. basically adds support for 5.00)

OLD DESCRIPTION
Quote:
File Description
Okay, so a lot of PSP users have probably upgraded to CFW 4.01 M33 by now. If you've upgraded and you like pimping your PSP out with custom themes, don't worry. Poisonhzkj has released a new version of CXMB that officially includes 4.01 M33 support.

Apart from 4.01 M33 compatibility, CXMB 3.2 also includes the following improvements over the previous :

* Select the random.ctf, then cxmb will randomly apply your themes in /PSP/THEME/
* Compile universal binary, cxmb.prx should work on 3.71/3.80/3.90/4.01
* Fix some wrong io opration (I wrote some sceIoClose where there should be sceIoDclose)
* Clean up sources (yea... I think I did it..)

Now, you may already have Miriam's 4.01 M33-compatible CXMB mod. According to poisonhzkj, that particular mod used a wrong hex edit (0xDEAD0400 instead of 0xDEAD0401), so you won't be able to use any themes you made using that version in CXMB 3.2 unless you hex edit it at offset 0x10.

CXMB v3.2 comes with a readme file, so don't forget to read it before you install CXMB.
NEW DESCRIPTION
Quote:
File Description

CXMB developer poisonhzkj has cleaned out a few of the bugs spotted by observant users in yesterday's CXMB v3.2 release. The developer has now come out with a quick bugfix version that addresses the bugs in CXMB v3.2's random theme function.

Here's CXMB v3.2.1's full changelog:

* Fix bug ( freeze while applying theme )
* Fix bug ( restore to original official XMB when returns from game)
* make official XMB NOT a choice of random.

As with all previous CXMB releases, this version includes a bundled readme file. Make sure to read through it before installing this plugin.
Hmm.. ok.. now to install (same for new download)

1. Extract the file using winrar/winzip whatever xP
2. Open the extracted folder (cxmbrelease)
3. Open the desired folder [only need 1] (full or lite, doesnt really matter)
4. Enable USB and copy/cut everything in there and paste in the root of your memory stick.
5. Exit USB and go into recovery menu [completely turn off psp, turn on while holding the "R" button (top right for you slow ones )]
6. Enable the plugin cxmb.prx
7. Exit recovery menu.
8. Enable USB and download and place any .ctf theme (according to your firmware version) in the THEME folder of your PSP (ms0:PSP/THEME)
9. Exit USB and go to Theme Settings and choose your .ctf theme. (PSP will automatically restart.)
10. That should be it! You now have your custom theme!

NOTE: PTF themes will not be viewable while plugin is on. So to go back to PTF themes you'll have to disable xP

Tested AND working on 4.01m33-2

works fine,
when you activate the cxmb plugin you cant see your ptf themes anymore, only your ctf themes
make sure the ctf themes you have are for 4.01m33

Yeh, they are 4.01 ctf themes.

does it matter that i had more than one attempt at it?

i may have messed it up by deleting the folders and trying again?

I am starting a collection of Custom Themes for 4.01 M33-2 which I have on my PSP. Would anyone be interested in it if I zipped it up and hosted it?

So far I have 53 themes, and I plan on having more soon.
