Your PSP is slim or phat. If it's slim you need pandora&memstick and if it's phat then you update to 2.7 and need GTA game to unpatch te FW then install custom FW (very old method), or update to 3.50 sony FW then need a retail lumines game to exploit the firmware then intall 3.52 M33, but I prefer pandora&memstick regardless what phat or slim PSP or any firmware version pandora will take care the job.

The guide is very straight forward step by step, unless you skip or lose your patient the it will bricks. But Pandora&memstick is the best.

Nhlan, stop helping people when you DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT..
Slim started firmware at 3.60 how would 2.60 be a slim?!?!?!

To drunkshihtzu, look at our downgrade guide, upgrade to 2.71 and downgrade from there. No game, no pandora's battery required. You don't need GTA like Nhlan7 said.

Like canadianbacon said, using the 2.71 downgrader will be the easiest choice. You'll first have to find out if it has a TA-082 motherboard or not, then use the correct downgrader for your motherboard.

You can find what motherboard you have by using this guide. (How To Check What Motherboard You Have)

Then find the correct downgrader to use in this thread. (Ultimate Downgrader Guide 2.00-3.50 *Updated 6/27/07*)

Remember if it's a TA-082 motherboard, use the 2.71 TA-082 guide, but if you don't just use the 2.71 generic downgrader. Good luck .

Why so anal? Because if someone told me I had to pay / hard modify something when really I could just download software to do it for free or not touching my battery, I'd be pissed. Maybe he wont, it's still not the point.

He didn't post enough information?

Like I said, "2.60".

Automatically it's a fat psp.

Slims do not run 2.60.

Unless the slight .01% he bought a SLIM psp with time machine that automatically boots into 2.60, then you wouldn't need more information./
