Default New Japanese psp Battaries Not Pandora Compatible??

An issue has been raised whilst viewing batteries and other forums, it appears that people have been experiencing problems converting the new slim psp batteries to pandora batteries, the new batteries are manufactured in Japan instead of China and there are comments on other forums that they have been manufactured differently, has anyone been experiencing any problems with modifying a battery with the method shown on this website which was made in Japan??

I'm getting a new PSP bundle tomorrow, I'll find out if the battery is made in China or Japan and tell you if it is hardmoddable.
