Default [BULLSHIT] Windows, Linux and Mac on PSP

Would you be kind enough to supply a video of windows 98 running on your psp?

If video is a problem at least get us some pics. I would like to see a picture of windows media player working on the psp, especially. Thanks.

yeah like i wrote in the emu thread, what you describe there is just what everybody else does, loads windows via the x86 emulator.. you said you have written new drivers and such, hows about providing some info/source code and let the rest of the community take part of this allegedly new discovery

also why this "contact me on email".. this is why we have forums. its not just for newcomers to post threads about downgraders.. well this is of course unless you dont really have anything to show

This is just bull shit, first of all the USB Port cannot operate in Host Mode.
Second all the apllications you've described would run amazingly slow, it wouldn't even be worth running any of them.

When you say Windows95 Emu, you probably mean bochs, which is an x86(IA32) emu, so how would it run OSX,(unless you're talking about 0Sx86) or classic, they're both developed for the PowerPC arch, not x86.

The "Drivers" you've explained are impossible, because they cannot access anything outside the emulated system memory, and devices.

So this is bullshit unless you want to prove it....

P.S. i'm not going to release any beta homebruse cause if it messes up your PSP ill feel bad, But If you want you can follow my instuctions and do it yourself and if your a programmer help me out with the sound drivers and the wifi drivers if you do it email me at yahoo for help too if ya need it.
Look U guys 98SE infact does run extreamly slow with a 400 mhz processer and only 32mbyte of ram and a coprosessor that runs at 33mhz but its better than nothing and another thing this started out as a way to make java run in the psp's internet thats why i loaded x86emu to run a javascripting program when i found it really ran it sucked cause i couldnt type but it came to me i could make 98 run on it and i have a thery that if i can mod my psp by putting more internal memory it would run fast enough to be perfecty normally operable now i can make a video and picture of me using it guys for proof but follow the intructions above to do it youself

computers are for windows it would be too fiddly on a psp to have windows unless you could plug in a mini usb mouse and keyboard

You are an idiot.

Of course 98 will run on a 400mhz processor(in fact the PC I'm on is running 98 at 400mhz quite nicely), but the PSP's maximum speed is 333mhz, which will translate into about 16.5-33mhz emulated speed on the PSP. And the memory bochs uses would make only 16mb left for the emulated system.

What's this shit about you adding more memory? How would you go about doing that? Even if you did manage to increase the physical memory the PSP's memory manager is probably hard coded to think it only has 32mb of memory, making you're memory "upgrade" useless.

Stop being a fucking retard.

people the bochs emulator is no big news but this guy claims to go beoynd emulation. even though it seems he only _thinks_ he's on to something new and big.. this thread will get locked soon unless the author comes up with something revolutionary

there is no need to flame the guy, lets just hear him out and see if he has the real deal or not.Calling him names or a liar/scam artist isnt gonna want him to post the stuff here seeing how much you guys hate on him.Im not trying to tell you guys how to post, but being an ass hat never helps in any situation,NEVER.(btw im not calling all you guys asshats, just the ones that were cursing him out.im not taking his side saying "ohh yeah,he isnt lying ive seen it",but there is a line between not believing him,and cussing him out calling him a liar)

Ok Lets see...
darkpower_4:
Does not know what an x86 actually is.
Has no concept of the difference between a x86(Intel) PC and PowerePC(Mac).
Is obvioulsy not a programmer.
Has no idea of how complicated the PSP's hardware is.

I have been programming for many years, on many different platforms (IA32, IA64, PPC, MIPS R4000, ARM). (ALthough I have never physically modified a PSP, unless you count frying one...)
So I'm pretty sure I can sniff out bull shit when I see it. (Or just some stupid kid who thinks he's making some sort of progress)
