Slim 3.90 Downgrade questions
I bought my tool battery because I already tried to hard mod my original battery and failed. Even while being very careful. So I just bought one instead of throwing more money down the drain by buying another battery that I might fry again. At least a person has the option to try to make one, or buy one. But if you can hard mod a battery correctly, more power to you.

Slim 3.90 Downgrade questions
In my opinion. Use a utility knife. nice and sharp. Work slowly. wrap the end of the knife handle with electrical tape. (prevents it from shocking you) DON'T CUT TOO DEEP! And try not to just pry it open, or else you'll break the foil connection.
Hope someone who was successful on making one can help you out on here.
good luck!

All I mean is just open the battery slowly, because you could rip the connection out. Read this thread ---> http://www.pspmod.com/forums/hardwar...ry-crisis.html (Slim Battery Crisis)
Plastic gloves is fine. But usually gloves are bulky, and might make it harder to hold the battery with them.
Know what, that foil thing is connecting the board to the battery cell, so you shouldn't have a problem. Since your just opening the battery, and not removing the board. sorry!

Yes, just make sure it's the right pin. Just read the guides that are out there, and make sure you understand it. Hope you succeed!!

It's a PSP Slim with OFW 3.90 and a 512mb MS. Now I have done some research the past days studying guides and how tos and to my great disappointment I realized that I can only install a CFW with the help of a pandoras battery(sucks). I think am able to create an MMS since it looks rather easy but its still unclear to me how to obtain a pandoras battery.
So the question is... Should I buy a pandoras battery or should I buy a normal one and try to mod it myself? If I should buy an already modded one whats a good place to buy it from that ships to Cyprus(Europe). Or if I should take the other path and make it myself how hard will it be?
I know am asking for some serious spoon feeding but I want it to be as safe as possible since its not my psp. Thanks in advance! | um i bought a little gadget from MAX that converts u psp battery into tool mode (pandora mode) and back in like to seconds. i have the same issuse u have but i have a little bro that i dont canre about so im doing it for my self lol. ill post if u machine works.. fell free to email me. |

When I Was opening my battery i broke the foil connection, it helped me so i would not fry the battery while removing the pin from IC04, then i connected the foil connection with aluminum foil. Is that safe?? |
