Homebrew for 2.01 and 2.5

Fanjita has released a homebrew loader for firmware versions 2.01 and 2.5.

You can get it at pspupdates

Edit: You can also download it from psp3d. It uses the GTA save game exploit, so you have to own GTA.

give it a month and it will be as good as the loader for 2.0

So far, the only things that have been tested (not necessarily the only things that work) are an SNES emulator fanjita pointed out, and a few other sparse homebrews. I currently am using the snes emulator, and it works pretty good. Some games lag though.

No, you can not play ISO's on 2.0, 2.01, 2.5 or 2.6.

Fanjita is not planning on making an ISO launcher. I don't blame him. Don't support piracy, support developers working hard to bring you useful utilities, entertaining media, shells, and original games.

i can't wait to go get GTA now. i'll have another fun game to play and SNES and other ROM'd games. this is a great day.

[edit] i have some questions. right now i can use these emulators right:
PSPSOne -> sweet
SNES9x -> no download
Uo_Snes9x (SNES) -> apparent download

so this means that after i get GTA and the Exploit AND the loader (SNES/PSONE) i can just DL roms and play those correct? if so....SWEET! i can't wait and i'll buy that bitch tomoro if that's what it takes for me to play ROMs on my PSP.

man this is so exciting. this means that i can finally keep my browser and other cute little features (like play new games) and still be able to emulate games like the Mega Man X Series. *e-glee*
