unless you have a spare fat battery to mod, that's your cheapest(and best, price wise) solution for that

the mms Im not onto yet, but I assume its just some files to control the read sequence of the flash stick's contents, like in a computer bios, setting it to boot from cd only to reformat? something like that.

it works for both. i installed cfw on over 6 PSPs now. 4 phats, and 3 slims

the guy that flashed mine used a modified phat batt ::shrug:: worked fine though Im sure you'd have trouble fitting the batt caseback over it

OK this is me ABDULLAH Speaking and the mistake is that you have to press the Digital UP button and then insert the pandora battery in as my video also says so press the digital up button and keep holdin it and then insert the pandoras battery

Just so you know you cant make a magic memory stick with a 4gb memstick. i dont know why so many people dont seem to know this but THE MEMSTICK HAS TO BE BETWEEN 250MB AND 2GB TO MAKE A MAGIC MEMORY STICK! anything above 2gb and below 250mb wont work!

Thats BS...

Ive installed CFW on multiple PSP's using a 4GB (and a fake 4GB at that). As long as you run FakeCard a 4GB will be fine.....

And, its better to mod a PSP Phat battery because it can be used in both a slim and a phat. The batteries for a slim can only be used in a slim...

And btw, a "Pandora" is not a battery by itself. It is the combination of a Jigkick/Tool battery and a MMS.....

sry, i should have said the best way would be to do it with a memstick between 250mb and 2gb. but that is true, you can just run fakecard on the 4gb. but the easiest way is to just have a memstick between the two sizes and you can make one is literally 2 seconds.
