Can anyone help please?
Hey Jaded,

I was doing this today too on old Phat PSPs. I had the same problem as you. Nothing showed up on the screen (it didn't even light up) when i put in my pandora battery. L Trigger held or not. It was quite odd.

However, I had another pro duo memory stick lying around. I tried using this memory card as the Magic Memory Card, and I was met with success. It was really weird. The only differences between these two memory cards are Brand (Sony didn't work. SanDisk worked), and Size (Sony = 1gb, SanDisk = 4gb).

I'm not sure if the Sony memory card had the words "MagicGate" on it, but I know for sure that the sandisk one does. I don't know why it would not work with one memory card, but not the other. Perhaps it was the fact that I had not removed the memory card out of my PSP since creating it? Anyway, if you have another memory stick to try out, please give it a try.

Major thanks to Frost for putting this up here. It has been a tremendous help and made cfw as easy as pie

Maybe the battery isn't charged enough.

Or you didn't run the thing as an admin.

Funny enough i have fixed that problem(by using the eboot of cfw3.8) to falsh it to cfw 3.8.But my problem still persists .When i try to play isos the psp just hangs at the psp play station portable screenafter that sound.WHAT CAN I DO NOW?

I have just even flashed it to 4.01m33-2 CFW but yet still gives me the same issue.

Exactly. Grader has this same issue except my app doesnt throw an error. So it looks like all is going well when it isnt. I apologize as I wrote this in 5 days with no PSP.

1.3 for Simple and 2.0 for All is coming soon. 95-Vista will be supported and Vista's UAC problem will be fixed. 1.3 will be smaller and faster then 1.0 and benifit from 2.0's better code base.

Cant do much for fake sticks and even genuine sonys tend to suck. If your in the US the 4GB sandisk is 20 bucks and 8GB was 46 its a bit higher now.
