3.95 Downgrade - Need Help!!

Well I have quite a story to tell so i'll start from the top...

A while ago I started to work out how to downgrade my 3.95 slim Final Fantasy PSP to 1.5 so that I could then upgrade it to 3.30 CFW (The Dark Alex one for ps1 emulation). I tried a minimum of 5 video tutorials on Youtube, a couple of Wiki's and several guides both on this forum and elsewhere. None of which worked. I was trying to avoid creating an account on a forum to post one thing as it seems a bit rude, but I really did exhaust every other option, and I'm stumped.

The closest I've gotten was with "Rain's Simple MMS Maker" which I found on this site. I get to the stage of booting it with the 1.50 firmware on it (applied with Rains MMS Maker) with the pandora's battery in my PSP. I have booted it both holding and not holding L and it just stays black and doesnt bring up an install prompt.

It would be ridiculously appreciated if some one could point out in an idiot-friendly manner what I'm doing wrong, or if you can't pick it just lay out a simple, but detailed idiot-friendly guide from the very beginning of what to do.

Well first Slims CANNOT downgrade to 1.50.Second did you mod your battery?

Yes, I modded my battery myself by cutting the cable on the little chip in the bottom right corner (has "19" written near it if I remember correctly). When I just want to play a game though I turn it into a normal one again by drawing the cable back on with a lead pencil.

Also, is there anyway I can get PS1 emulation going on my Slim PSP at all? I've seen videos saying you can, but I know just how reliable youtube tutorials can be..

Anyone? Just need to know of ANY way to play playstation one games on my (currently) 3.95 PSP Slim. Don't care how much down/up grading I have to do!

popsloader's the best for psx games as far as I am aware and it works for slims too

Well you'll only be able to play PSX bought off the PSN till you get CFW.All you have to do once you have CFW is to rip the ISO/BIN file of the PSX Game and then use one of a multitude of converters to convert it to EBOOT.PBP.
