Default I can't access the recovery console

I assume you didn't realize the recovery menu is only a part of custom firmware, not the official one?

You need to make/buy a Pandora Battery and MMS. Go here for making one: http://www.pspmod.com/forums/psp-har...ery-guide.html (Easy-To-Use Pandora's Battery Guide)

you need to make a magic memory stick in order to get custom firmware

you can use the pandora battery as a regular battery as long as u make the magic memstick with this program

http://www.pspmod.com/forums/sony-ps...not-requi.html (Rain's Simple MMS Maker v1.0: mem stick prepper for Pandora, .NET Framework not requi)

make sure to keep the mms files on the memstick after u have custom firmware so u can use the pandora as a regualar battery

you have to put the magic memory stick into the psp, then hold in the L button and put in the pandora battery. once you do that an installation screen should come up and there will be a few choices. chose the one that says install 4.01m33 and then once its done installing it all your games should come up, as long as they're in the right folder

alright, so you have 4.01m33-2 now....once you have that, go to the root of your memstick....thats where the PSP and VIDEO and PICTURE folder are. when ur there you need to make a folder ISO(needs to be in caps) and thats where you iso's and your cso's go

hope that helps
