Ripping UMD Disc...?

Is there any application out there to
rip the PSP umds and make them to ISO files?

Yes, but you need a firmware version 1.5 psp to do it. I think fastloader has the ability to dump a UMD... I'll check real quick and edit this post with better info.

EDIT: Yeah, you can do it with fastloader (and fastloader only works on 1.5). You can get it here.

Okey, Im running PSP ver. 1.50 and Have a UMD Disc with MediEvil.. Want to make it to ISO.

Ummm, you should not have posted that question in this thread... they are totally unrelated. Now to answer your question, NO ONE KNOWS! Sony has not made an official announcement. Go search on www.ps3updates.com for more info on the ps3. They are good about posting ps3 news as it happens

Okay sorry for all the inconvenience but what program do i use to convert the files of the UMD into ISO format so i can play them on my psp. If you want to rip a UMD then dont you have to use fast loader 0.7. and my friend found a new way to rip UMDs. First break the plastic case the UMD is in and then if you have a laptop then put the UMD in the dvd drive and if you have a ripping program then start to rip the UMD. HAHAHAHA i am great i know things that you dont.

I really doubt breaking a case and removing the UMD disc and putting it into a LAPTOP'S DVD/CD reader will be able to read a UMD disc, completely different media and a completely different format.

Look at the UMD itself, it's like a 1.7GIG media, not even close to the standard DUAL LAYER media that is put out by the movie industry, which is 9.4GIG and the current dual layer media thats used is only like 8.5GIG.

Yea yea, we been ripping DVD's down below the standard 4.7GIG mark, but thats cause were using compression..... so, you better make sure sticking a UMD disc into your PC is gonna work, really

go ahead break one and try it, I'm not gonna do it...

Okay.. I did RIP the Demo Disc for testing only.
Ripped to the MS.
But I can't start the .ISO with uMD Emulator?
I can only start it with FastLoader? Thanks
