Default is it true anything above ofw 4.01 cant be downgraded?

i just bought a led pandora battery and my psp is ofw 5.03 i hope i can downgrade it because then i would have wasted my money on a pandora battery

Default is it true anything above ofw 4.01 cant be downgraded?

What people mean when they say this is that if it came out of the box with a firmware of 4.01 or higher, then likely it can't be downgraded. If you started below 4.01 and updated to whatever, you can still downgrade.

Generally if it came with:

3.95 -> ta-088v2 hackable motherboard
4.01 -> ta-088v3 UNhackable motherboard

no with a pandora's battery no firmware can stop downgrading or instaling cfw. I'm assuming you have a phat and want to install 1.5, regardless of the firmware (if the psp can be hacked) the pandora will do the job

i thought i wasted 20 dollars haha thanks you guys for all the help i havent been keeping up with modding my psp because my old one broke and i barely got a new one a couple days ago

i bought it off my friend it says psp 2001 and the serial no. starts with HU1 i've been told its hackable but i guess i'll find out when my pandora battery comes

i dont think that kind is hackable its one of the newer psps but im not completely sure
