Need help real quick

Ok I have the psp 1001 aka phat. I got it running on 1.5. Now i am looking to get some cfw on it so I can run some emulators and various stuff.Now my question what exactly do i do? I looked all over here and the web and I cant seem to find step by step way to hack my psp. I was told i did the right thing getting it to 1.5 but what do i do next? I was told i half to start by putting cfw 3.3 on there or something then upgrading to the other ones from there. Can someone please guide me or give me a link that will help me out. Thanks alot in advance and sorry for the noobe question.

hellcats recovery flasher will get you to 5.00m33

Ok i have 5.00 m33 on my psp right now but am i ready to run it or not? I dont want to partial brick my psp again. Last time i tryed doing it while i had 3.72 on it. So should i be all set if i just run the 5.00 m33 firmware? i have it in the games folder and everything but just want to be sure i am ready to run it that is why i am asking if i am ready to or not?

EDIT it is still running on 1.5 i just have the 5.00 m33 on the mem card ready to be used.

Ok i just ran the 5.00 m33 and it came up with a error. Whats wrong?

i'd upgrade to 3.52m33 first. then go to 3.90. then etc.

Ok Just tryed running 3.9 m33 and it came up with the same error message it came up with when i tryed to run the 5.00 m33. The error code is 800200001
If someone can help me I would apreciate it. thanks for all the help so far though.

Did you go to network update or did you dl it?

I dl'd it. and then took the update folder and put it in the games folder in psp and then i unhooked my psp and tryed to run it on my psp and that is the error code it came up with

You need to use Hellcats recovery flasher to get to cfw. I didn't notice that you had 1.5. Thats why you get the error messages every time you use one of the m33 updates.

OH ok. I was under the assumption that since i got my psp downgraded to 1.5 that all i had to do now was put whatever firmware i wanted on it. But ok so now i gotta download hellcat.

Yes, after you run it you should have cfw.

When i try to run the hellcat recovery it comes up with that same error code, What is going on?
