Firmware Installed: 5.00 M33-6

Default Magic Memory Stick Guide 5.00 m33-6 (Vista will work)

Download Link-Pre Made Magic Memory Stick 5.00m33-6 Time Machine DV8.rar

Use WinRAR or WinAce to extract files.

1. After Files Are Extracted, Double click 'PSP Grader v006 - Lite Setup.exe'
Install PSP Grader onto your computer.

2. Plug your PSP into your computer via USB Cable, or remove your Memory Stick PRO Duo and insert into your computers memory stick drive.

3. Open up your Memory Stick folder on your computer either by Clicking 'Open folder to view files' when the screen comes up or go to My Computer then clicking the drive of your memory stick.

4. Create a folder on your desktop named PSP. Hold 'Ctrl' and drag all of the
files from your memory stick into the 'PSP' folder on your desktop. Unplug your
psp or take out your memory stick and insert it back into your psp.

5. Go to your PSP. Settings -> System Settings -> Format Memory Stick. (Only works if you have a phat, with a slim you must mspformat.)

6. Plug your PSP into your computer via USB Cable, or remove your Memory Stick PRO Duo and insert into your computers memory stick drive.

7. Open up your Memory Stick folder on your computer either by Clicking 'Open folder to view files' when the screen comes up or go to My Computer then clicking the folder of your memory stick.

8. Go to the files you downloaded and open 'Pre-made 5.00m33-4'. Drag all
of the files onto your memory stick. Click 'Yes to all'.

9. Open the PSP Grader program we installed earlier. Don't Worry about the top stuff, look until you see 'Select IPL' and under it select 'None'. Underneath it will say 'Target Memory Stick'. Uncheck Format Memory Stick, and directly beneath that where it says 'PSP Memory Stick:' choose the drive where you PSP is located on your computer.

10. At the bottom, click 'Inject IPL Only'. A box will pop up that says
'Progress'. When it is done, click 'OK' at the bottom of the box.
Close PSP Grader.

You Have now created a Magic Memory Stick!

Installing Custom Firmware on your PSP

1. Unplug your PSP. Shut down your PSP by holding the power switch up until
the PSP is completely off. Remove your battery from your PSP, and disconnect any cords connected to the PSP. Keep your Magic Memory stick inside the PSP.

2. Hold the 'up' button on the Directional Pad on the PSP. While still holding
the 'up' button, Insert your Pandoras Battery (or TOOL). The PSP should
automatically turn on. A Menu should appear. Select 'Install 5.00 M33'.

3. Once it has installed, reinsert your normal battery. Turn on your PSP.
Settings -> System Settings -> Format Memory Stick.

4. Plug your PSP into your computer via USB Cable, or remove your Memory Stick PRO Duo and insert into your computers memory stick drive.

5. Copy the files from your PSP folder back onto your memory stick. Exit USB
Mode.

6. Turn on your PSP. Go over to Settings -> Network Update. Complete the update.

Ok question, when you do have an update, you create a folder UPDATE in game folder and put EBOOT.PBP in it right? Does that go in the GAME folder or like GAME150 GAME 5XX, what folder does the update and eboot go in?

haha even without update it works like a train, took me some time to figure out how to get in recovery menu but it works.
if you want to update to a new version of M33 firmware, you can just put it in UPDATE in games or how does that work?
and what is the newest M33 atm, 5.02 i think.
maybe i should make a new topic lol

when you say works like a train, is that a complement, lol?
To update M33, go to Settings -> Network Update and it will update to the latest M33.
Also, 5.00 m33-6 is the latest M33.

Depends, does your psp have a TA-088v3 mobo? If not then yes, If it does, then you will have to use chickHEN to get 5.03 GEN-A.

Default Magic Memory Stick Guide 5.00 m33-6 (Vista will work)

I'm getting to the final step about "Injecting the IPL only" and I get an error message saying that "access is denied".

Any idea how to stop this?

personally i always use my guide as a reference, but i heard pspgrader is good.however not everyone wants just a single new firmware like 5.00 m33-6

pspgrader was actually worked on by rainmotorsports and some other guy.so i trust it works well, but had no use for it since i got his multi installer and it works up to 5.02 gen-a (1st link on sig if you have trouble with this app)course mine may take a few more steps, not many but a few,to get to 5.00 m33-6 or up.my laptop personally is fast so i cant judge time well =P
