Default PSP 3001 how far can I go?

I am not the original poster to this thread but I could use some help if possible.

I have a 3001 XMS Ratchet and Clank Silver one I just got for my wife. It has Firmware 5.02 on it.

Is there anything that can be done with it and how? I would like to find out what I can do with it. Not sure I want to run any updates unless it is needed.

Hope you guys can help.

Thanks,

Flandrel

you can get the full features of cfw by using 5.03gen-a, here is a thread you should check out http://www.pspmod.com/forums/custom-...03gen-hen.html ([Released] Custom Firmware 5.03GEN for HEN-A)
