i have psp 3000 with 5.03 OFW
i want to upgrade it to 5.50 but i afraid it won't work~

If you upgrade to 5.50 you will NOT be able to install CFW for the time being.
The 3k's have a motherboard that is unhackable and you can only use the ChickHEN exploit in OFW 5.03.
Yes you will be able to play GT once decrypted via CFW via HEN

If you attempt to flash any custom firmware it will BRICK YOUR PSP PERMANENTLY.

It will be broken and utterly trash. You'll have to throw away the motherboard and sell the PSP for parts.
