Default Upgrading to latest

I'm running 3.90 m33-3 and I want to upgrade to the latest firmware. I already have the files downloaded. Following the tutorial and the vid they say to put the PSP folder on the root but the problem is I already have a folder named PSP on my memory stick. So do i overwrite this or should I rename 1 of the folders? This is the 1st time I'm attempting to update the firmware so any help is appreciated thanks.

Ya i followed that guide but like i said i already have a PSP folder on the root of my memory stick. The files I downloaded from that link are contained in a PSP folder already and when i drag it over to the memory stick its asking if i want to overwrite the folder.

open your downloaded psp folder, copy the update folder from inside and then paste that into "your" psp folder, then exit usb mode, go to your games on the memory stick and run the update...congrats, you're now updated lol

Thanks for the reply, I ended up figuring it out and had to go through a few other updates to get the new Gen D working.
