Default very confused on updating firmware

I have a psp PHAT. I am currently running 4.01 M33-2 Which I installed a long time ago. I want to upgrade to 5.00 M33-6 but every tutorial I find the files that I need are broken links.

i have the links you need in my sig...grab the 5.00m33-6 and 500.pbp files, place the 500.pbp inside the update folder (from the 5.00m33-6 download) and then place the update folder into your game folder...then run it

Default very confused on updating firmware

you can download the update here : psp-hacks.com/file/1646

put the file in your games folder (ISO) then go back to your psp's XMB, go to the Games section and you should see the updater in the list press X and it will start then select upgrade to M33-6 press X and you're done
