Default Need help with semi brick...

Okay, i have PSP 3000 running 5.03.
Okay OFW works fine. no problems with that.
ChickHEN works fine. not a problem
but now when i run any cfw, i get a red error screen basically saying i've failed:

Now, let me tell you the story as to how i got to this point.
Everything was fine
until i wanted to run MGS PW on 5.03 GEN-B.
So i installed Update Trick 2.5 by Dark_Chiri, to flash a higher version.txt
it said it had finished
so i quit the program and booooom, this error appeared.
so i booted down my psp and ran CFW again expecting it to work fine but my heart dropped when the error came up again >_<

How can i fix this? I'm thinking all i need to do is disable version.txt from the vsh config menu but i can't get in there because of this damned error appearing a second after entering CFW.
WHere are the config settigns stored? are they stored on the memory stick? Can i manually disable version.txt or something?

Thanks for any help.

Default Need help with semi brick...

Right guys ive fixed it to a point
i was under the illusion that i couldnt get into the vsh menu because of this ugly red screen, but i was wrong. i just clicked select and to my amazement the vsh menu appeared above the red screen, LOL!
So i disabled version.txt and now CFW works ok.
but now i obviously have a dodgey version.txt which i dont know how to fix because i dont want to use that Update Trick again (for obvious reasons) and i cant seem to connect my PSP's flash0 to the psp.... help?

so you're saying that you can't manually access the flash0 yourself

I think that if you mess with flash0 on a 3000 you will brick it and it can't be fixed...

if you can access the flash0, then you can replace it with an original version.txt you can find some here http://www.pspmod.com/forums/firmwar...xt-thread.html (The Version.txt Thread)
