is 5.50 GEN-D worth it YET?
I have had 5.00M33-6 for the longest time now because people kept giving me the impression that gen firmware was buggy and not of good quality. so for those of you that have 5.50GEN-D2 , does everything work without problems or crashes? does it work as well or better than 5.00M33-6? basically is it worth updating?

depends on your point of view I suppose, I'm stayin on m33 till the end, but GEN D does have its advantages (built in decryption) and the newer Sony features, but if you want a 1.5 kernel, stability (I say this because let's be honest the last few releases haven't been 100%) and of course more homebrew compatibility (there are a few that only work on m33 still) M33 is for you |

You know the thing is, i have yet to have a problem with GEN and im on B2. But i think the problem is, i play ISO games, Emulators, and all the KUrok mods out there. But i think people are using other applications that are just more difficult to run on it. Also some plugins dont work like XCMB doesnt work well ive heard, its more of a compatabilty issue, like the XP/Vista Fananza

You just need to find 5.50 compatible plugins if yours don't work, which I've found there usually are.

Ive been considering going back to M33 recently. I hear GEN Team will be releasing a Speed Up Memory stick feature soon so If I do go back to M33, After the speed up is released I will switch back |

^^is that really a big deal?? honestly, i don't notice a bit of difference without the speed up memory stick option. i just love the convenience of not having to decrypt anymore, rip my umd's to iso's and just place them on my psp and play, what could be easier? |

with all the testing i have done on D2 and varius HB and plugins, i found that if a plugin don't work then in 99% of the cases sinply looking for a updated ver of that plugin fixed the issue. and i ended up with a plugin that had new features
