Question Whats have I Done Now - Please Help

Hi

God only knows what I have done, please help

I was using 5.50 Gen B though the game I was trying to run said I needed to upgrade to 5.50 Gen D I got this firmware and it seemed to update ok though I thinkI made an error as the firmware now says it is 5.50 I have tried to upgrade it though to either gen a or gen b or even back to 4.01 m33 or 5.01 m33 and I can put the information on the memory stick though when I go to the games folder once the memory stick is back in the PSP it says corupted data, I have another memory stick 8Gb (Sandisk) I know this is ok but non of the games are present and the stick is full

What have I done

many thanks for taking the time reply

Default Whats have I Done Now - Please Help

a game wouldn't say that, if it said it needed 5.50, you were already there...but definitely sounds like you installed ofw 5.50...now all you can do, if that's what you did in fact, is use a pandora battery to go back down to cfw...

where did you get the download link for 5.50gen-D? and what did you do to install it?? more details on how you got to current situation

edit...i have a suspicion on your game and why you did that, but leave that out if it was in fact a pirated game file, which is what i think is going on

Are you saying the game you were playing asked you to update? If so, you've updated to Official 5.50 firmware, not CFW, and you'll need a pandora battery and magic memory stick to go back to CFW.

You probably flash installed 5.50 OFW if you used the XGEN installer which i presume you did so yeah you need a Pandora and a MMS in order to fix it

After you got costume firmware back on your psp. To run Isos you simply press the select button on your psp and you should get a vsh menu. Know highlight UMD ISO MODE and switch it to M33 Driver and you should be able to play PSP ISOs or CSOs.

Default Whats have I Done Now - Please Help

ok Yes I am using the m33 driver and ISO and CSO files are working correctly but when I installed the last verson of Gen D and pressed SELECT on the main PSP screen no option was available, nothing happened

So now I am on 550 Gen B all working ok am unsure about flashing again to Gen D

goku you have 2 files for Gen D updater and installer do I need them both ??

Once updated to Gen D2 do I then to change the mode from M33 driver to ISO ??? Do I press select still at the home screen for this option after flashing to D2 or before ??

Get both files of Gen D and update with 550 GEN-D first and then use the 550 Gen-D2 quick updater to Patch what ever problems 550 Gen-D had.

List of What 550 Gen-D2 Fixes From 550 Gen-D:

-Evangelion anti-CFW patch fix
-Fix Wlan TKIP in game loop: pes 2009, fifa, motorstorm, GTA:CW etc.
-Fix video output with 5.5X and 6.X games like GTA Chinatowns War
-Fixed recovery menu with make Pandora and make battery normal
-Removed splash screen but you have another spash screen in red color for let you know if the decrypter work

And as for playing psp backups you you would have two methods of changing the UMD ISO MODE.

From the PSP Menu
To run Isos you simply press the select button on your psp and you should get a vsh menu. Know highlight UMD ISO MODE and switch it to M33 Driver and you should be able to play PSP ISOs or CSOs.

From the Recovery Menu
1) Hold the R trigger when you turn on your PSP this should take you to the recovery console (Note: PSP must be off when you first do this step).
2) Once in the recovery menu highlight configuration and then highlight UMD Mode and switch it to M33 Driver -No UMD- after switching go to Back and then Exit and the PSP should exit into the PSP Menu.

NOTE: If the first method doesn't work that means you got the vsh menu disabled in the recovery menu. So to enable it head over to the recovery menu and select configuration. Then Highlight USE VSHMENU and switch it to VSHMENU and Exit the recovery menu.
