thought bout firmware
i was jus wondering u know the rumours bout them allowin homebrew and releasin a couple emselves that sony, in the next update could have a file of some sort to log the apps u use and when online it sends a piece of the data to them (hence the built in browser) to pinpoint homebrew users? jus the thought crossed my mind and got kinda worried lol... post replies or views plz |

uhm id think not.. kinda like the rumours of winxp submitting data about peeps downloading and using warez.. its probably against the law to be snooping like that

Theres nothing illeagle about running homebrew on a PSP, maybe if you were using a hacked FW. The only illeagle thing so far is if you dont own a game and you download its umd dump. I dont think exploits are illeagle, I think doing malicious things with them is though.

Yea they cant convict you of anything, but theres always a chance BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING, its like how cops keep drug dealers out on the streets to watch them when the big dogs come out and play.

it would be illeagal for sony to be doin that and with the disk read error fiasco with the ps2 i dont think sony would be so stupid, an they wouldnt be able to tell who you were anyway |

well then y are people being blocked out of xblive because of their hacked hdd's ? all they have is homebrew games. they do that by PEEKING in ur Box and im not talking about ur moms
yes this does rise sum privacy issues but when it comes to technology, theres always a way. soon they will be using GPS to track all our asses, jus u wait |

No, its the xbox bios that tips them off. when someone mods their bios, and xbl detects hem they get banned.

yep and quite the similar thing can be happening to the psp's since its jus as easy to see what kind of firmware u are running

id love to see a good psp, with everything, browser, easy backgrounds. emus, no iso dump stuff and fun, all this iso thing is i haep of crap and shut the homebrew scene down, thanks assholes |
