Default ISO modding? Possible?

Hey, searched but didn't find anything close. This probably isn't possible, but can a game be modded? Can an iso be opened and then customized. To change the look of a character or sounds or anything like that?

Ooops, move to Homebrew please!!

yeah this is possible
all the iso modding i do is dumbing sounds and video files
but you would have to know a fair amount of coding to be able to do this.

OR, you can use UMDGEN , run your isos with it, and that splits the iso into different sections such as video, audio etc and you can work from there.

i would go against all the others and say jump straight in
you don't get any where fast unless you do.
get UMDgen and much around with some stuff and see what happens.
especially if all you wanna do is change the look of characters and not actually change the game play.
i would try and find someone how knows about game modding
to personally help you out.
