Thumbs up Valve: Orange Box semi-Review

i didnt know where to put this - but figured despite having the PC version, the 'Orange Box' is available for XBOX as well so maybe this is a good place for this thread.

i was just so excited i had to write a review!

Orange Box costs just $50 (+taxes) and contains:
Half Life 2, HL2:Episode 1, HL3: Episode 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2.

HL2/Ep1/Ep2:
HL2 is the dogs bollocks... its just plain amazing. Ep1 was a great expansion to the story, and Ep2 takes over where Ep1 left off. The best ever single player FPS imho.

Portal:
OMG. This is the most mind bendingly awesome game I've played in a LONG time... all be it fairly short - I completed it in about 2-3 hours, but boy was it good all the way through and filled with constant LOL moments... you just have to play it. The portalgun is just awesome - you can make 2 portals (mostly) anywhere in the space and walk through one and come out of the other... fairly basic concept - except when you actual experience it it makes your brain go funny. Portal is just a puzzle game basically but it is truley awesome and is the main reason I had to start this thread of ranting.

Team Fortress 2:
TF2 is a class based multiplayer game. It has 12 classes i think, ranging from attack classes to support classes (sniper/medic/spy)... the best thing about this game is its look. It's like being in a violent pixar movie... and i couldnt believe how smoothly it ran on my system! (details below).

Conclusion:
GET IT NOW. if i was to fault anything it would be the length of Portal, but it must be so hard to come up with puzzles in an environment where there is very little control over the players movement. It was superbly executed - really emersive and well polished. Unbelieavable value - get it before they notice what they've done and put the price up!

spec:
dual Xeon 3ghz, 2 gig ram, ATI 9800XT (getting old now, but everything seemed to run well at 1280x1024... obviously if you have a more recent card all the better.)

I hope i've mana

And no games like this are meant for the computer.. It should have never been ported to consoles. Damn Valve getting money hungry.

Lot of PS3 haters, for a group who play PSP... Interesting. Not to start anything, just making an observation.

I will be getting it for my PS3, so at least someone around here will have for that console, you all can keep your 360s. Killzone2 will own Halo.

Default Valve: Orange Box semi-Review

There are so many things wrong with this post, First Orange Box is a Great set of Games about 50 dollars for five games very cheap and all of them will average out to atleast 6 hours of gameplay. Second, valve started out on PC because it had the best hardware offered, now consoles are catching up why not put the game on any console compatible for it that way everyone else will see what us original Half Life fans have been talking about. Third, Valve is probably the best game maker out there, Money Hungry is the last thing they should be reffered to They made Five games took them at least two years each to make and sold them all as one game, it's almost disrespectful to call them money hungry after all that work. Last thing I want to say, This is pspmod.com why the fu*k are you talking about a game that's not on the PSP.
Fu*king Idiots.

Orange Box is definately the best value I've gotten on a new video game, with Resident Evil 4: Wii at a close second. Not to mention Portal is amazing, innovative, and enjoyable.
