Crash of the Titans

I was really excited to hear of a new crash game. I remember playing for hours on end on my playstation collecting relics and breaking records. Crash Bandicoot was one of the greatest psx games ever released...
...then it came to the psp.

It may because i was expecting a traditional Crash game, but i found Crash of the Titans to be a major letdown. The only chracteristics that link this to the other Crash games is the faces. Gameplay is completely different, classic crash moves like the spin must be unlocked before they can be used and after that they are still a disappointment. Anyway, lets get into the specifics:

Graphics out of 10 : For a game this late in the psp's life i would expect to see smoother graphics than what CotT has. There is no lagging, but there is nothing mind blowing about the level of detail. 6/10

Sound out of 10 : I never played with the sound on so i cant comment on this. I may edit this review later if i listen to the sound fx, but for now the rating is n/a.

Controls out of 10 : Controls are completely different than the old games, but are usable and nicely laid out. Combo moves are easy to achieve and are unobtrusive, so no accidental move combos going on. 8/10

Gameplay out of 10 : it only has the battle of Attica but from what i see it is great gameplay. 10/10

Overall out of 10 : On its own it is a decent game, but with the name of Crash Banditcoot it makes one expect more out of it. I'll play it, but i'll always fell its missing something, something nostalgic that isnt quite there. 7/10

I loved Crash Bandicoot, and yes i have to agree, the psx ones are alot better

Man i hate this game, the storyline is poor and the graphics are just shocking! I downloaded it and it took five hours, it was not worth it!

I downloaded it too cuz the disc cracked ( it was used ) I hated it alot...wasnt even worth $20.00

I don't know about the PSP version but i think it was rather enjoyable on PS2, although crash seems a little dumb in this version of the game which was weird. great review tho.

I loved Crash bandicoot on the Ps1, and I'd like to buy these, I read that the best version of this game is the DS one. One friend of mine is going to buy this game for PSP, and then, I'll try it.

recently i played crash of the titans on ps2 not psp, and i think it's quite exciting, but i don't know how the game in psp, anything different?

haven't had any time with the PSP version, but i have it for my 360 and beat it by the next day, very fun game on the 360, but it definitely isn't the same caliber game that crash 1 2 and 3 were
