Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles
Game Title : Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles
Firmware Required : 3.40
Game Description : Remake of the original 2d side scroller Rondo of Blood
Number Of Players : 1-2
Genre : adventure/RPG
Retail Price : $29.99
Graphics out of 10 : 9.5/10
The graphics are spectacular for a remake, the background comes to live will full detail, and the character models are amazing.
Sound out of 10 : 10/10
The sound, well what can we expect from a Castlevania title, the sound is amazing, the music is a joy to the ears, each remake of the original songs are so well done, and in top of that each growl a creature makes is ideal to the real thing, for full effect(which I recommend) use earphones while playing this game. You won't regret it.
Controls out of 10 : 9/10
The controls well they are the same as in every Castlevania game, so its up to you if you liked the controls from the oldies, as for me I have no problem with them, but you will have trouble with some of the moves if you using an old model PSP.
Gameplay out of 10 : 10/10
The gameplay is what you would expect from a Castlevania, full 2d let me correct that full 2.5d side scrolling fun, since this is a remake of the original Rondo of Blood(never released in the US till now), you'll experience the uncovering of alternate stages, and secret bosses, and in top of that you get to unlock the original Rondo of Blood and Castlevania Symphony of the Night the one Castlevania favored by many.
Overall out of 10 : 10/10
This game is for all Castlevania fans, and for any old school gamer, and with the unlockable sound tracks, and 3 other unlockable games, this game will keep you busy wherever you are. Take note that is game is challenging, so if your not one of few to have a challenge, then by all means pass this game on.
In the word of Dracula-"Enough talk, have at you"

i really love the game, what i find most ecsquisit about it is that the game is so challenging, it mocks you when u lose all of your lives etc and shaft is the biggest ASS to run into but i laugh when he gets his, Castlevania is one of my most favorite titles, its on my top 10 and out of the belmonts, these are my favorites

Castlevania is a great series. But don't get me start one which Castlevania sucked. Back in the day if you had a NES and you play Castlevania II, you will feel my pain. |

Castlevania Dracula X Chronicles
Why is my Castlevania not working?
Its firmware requirement is 3.40 right?
Mine is 3.80 M33-5..
Do I need to downgrade to 3.40?
Here is how it goes..
I run Castlevania..
The screen says This game has an autasave feature.. press X.
Konami with white background shows up..
Goes black..
Then remains black FOREVER..
Can someone help me please??? |

I hated this one, mainly because of it being stage based, I just think castlevanias should be free roam(ish).
