Graphics out of 10 : 9.1
For a PSP, the graphics are amazing, sure there are some pop-ins, but for all that to fit on one little disc, its truly amazing.
Sound out of 10 : 9
The soundtrack is pretty good, just like Vice City (different songs, same stations). With the Rockstar patch, you can put custom songs from your memory stick (no homebrew requried) which is a plus. The charactor voice-overs are also pretty good.
Controls out of 10 : 7
To be a PSP game, the controls are decent, but not to a satisfying point. For one you can't move the camera (lack of a second analog stick). For anyone GTA fan, you know need to move the camera to see what is around you. Also the shooting could use some work. The lock-on feature is not as quick as you would want it to be.
Gameplay out of 10 : 9
Like always GTA has some crazy story, that will have you digging in for more. You may get annoyed by the controls, or maybe even the loading times for each mission, but give it a break, its on a handheld device. If you have the AV cables, playing this on the TV would be as playing the PS2 game.
Overall out of 10 : 9.1
The game is pretty sweet, excluding to lack of controls, camera issues, loading times, lock-on issues, limited number of songs, and unrealistic driving. You may say "Why are you giving this a 9.1, if you are talking so badly about it?" The reason being is, you have to give Rockstar SOME credit. I mean its a PSP game, its not their fault Sony could not have more stabled device. Around all that, any GTA fan should pick up this game. It is a great addition to your collection.
