Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light
Game Title : Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light Firmware Required : 2.90 Firmware Game Description : Blade Dancer is a fantasy RPG featuring anime-style characters, animated movie sequences, full 3D visuals and network play. The game places you in the role of Shane, who as part of his training heads off to a island. There, he meets a strange girl, Ferris, who he must help in the midst of great troubles.
Blade Dancer includes fully 3D fields, with a battle system slightly different from normal random encounter systems -- strike a beast, and you'll end up entering battle. One of the big elements of the game is its "Crafting System," where you combine items that you've collected into new items. The game stores recipes for you, although the more adventurous will want to try out their own creations. The game also features networking systems for up to four players to connect together. I believe they could have done a bit better cause there are some times where the graphics do glitch just a hair but nothing to realize notice unless you pay close attention to it. And I think they could have done better with the character designs. Sound out of 10 : 7 out of 10
Music is fine but the voice acting doesn't show much emotion. Controls out of 10 : 8 out of 10
Took me a second to figure out that I had to flip through my party members to attack or use skills. I was trying to use my new party member and was like what the heck and didn't realize you had to use the Directional Pad to go through party members when they are ready to take an action. I'm an RPG fan so to find a Turn based RPG was a freaking thrill to me. Basic story line just like your average RPG game. I rather enjoy the crafting system this game offers. When a weapon breaks if you have a recipe you can easily make a new weapon which is cheaper than buying a new one. Same with Potions and other healing items as well. I have yet to put the game down. Still have the PSP on trying to play it some while doing this lol.
Overall out of 10 : Overall I give this game an 8 out of 10. if your an RPG fan especially old school turn based this is a nice game to add to your collection |
