Transformer 2: Revenge of the Fallen

Yes fellow PSPers it's out there not just in theatres but on your local game shop shelves, this installment follows the movie, but adds a bit of extras within it. No not in terms of story, but those of characters. The game and movie actually coincide with one another in a sense but doesn't take away the good old element of surprise and fun away from each other. Anyway, here is my take so far on the game itself...

Game Play: 9.5/10
Despite the fact that the combat system is a bit repetitive, it won't stop you from playing. No it will actually make you play more. The only problem I had were some of the camera angels and the "tutorials", but outside of that it's like playing a beat 'em up game with Transformers.

Presentation: 9/10
Not too shabby, keeps you on wanting to continue playing. The controls are extremely easy to boot. Visuals are just superb on the PSP.

Graphics: 8/10
In game graphics weren't the best, but what do you expect. But I give credit where it's due and I have to say that it's not as bad as I originally predicted.

Sound: 8.5/10
Unless you put on your headphones to get the full spectrum of the gorgeous surround sound you're pretty much in for a migraine. However, with all the gun fire, punches and explosions you might just forget about the soundtrack just to hear the aforementioned.

Replay Value: 9.5/10
There is plenty to do besides getting top score, you can unlock some excellent art work and play with your friends in co-op mode just to kill the boredom of dying on your own. Not literally, this game will challenge and possibly frustrate you, but it's one game that you probably won't put down for a while.

Overall: 9.5/10

Nice review, I just saw the film it's pretty cool (1st is the best)

I can't wait to try this game, the 1st game was alright...

Thanks, I watched the film twice yesterday. The 1st one was the better.

I might get it. I've the the original PC game somewhere and the gameplay was very repetitive. Judging by your review it looks like they haven't improved much

This game really goes to show what bollocks the critics can come out with at times. I mean Gamespot: 4.0 out of 10... wtf..? I had loads of fun playing this.

except the resident evil series "they all come from comic books"
