Default Lumines

Just a note, this game is pronounced Lumi-Nes, not Lu-Mines.

Graphics 7
-Simple, but highly effective and cool, the background changes are addictive even though they aren't fancy. Part of the appeal is that it is so tied into sound and gameplay that it's hard to recognize that the 7 here is actually so well implemented that it's more like a 9.
Sound 10
-No way to describe this until you play, the songs are great and actively encourage you to get a flow going with the game. Every move you make changes the sound effect, which is itself perfectly incorporated with the background music, actually there is no background music, half the reason to play is to keep the music going.
Story NA
-Puzzle game, comeon.
Gameplay 10
-Like all good puzzle games this is simple to pick up and hard to master, but again the true brilliance of this game is how it all pulls together as one cohesive unit.

Overall 10 - You MUST buy this game if you own a psp.

Thumbs up Lumines

This game is stupidly weird at first especially if you don't really play puzzle games like i do but then before you know it you are playing...and playing....again...and again...

My only problem is that you can't start from a higher level, I've played for 97 minutes straight, but if I lose I have to play again for 95 minutes to get any farther. *sigh*

Well, it'll be in the bargain bin eventually, but as far as a game being worth the money, puzzle games are playable forever. (good ones are anyway) so the 40 dollars broken down by hours is like .004 an hour. On a typical 40 hour rpg you're paying a buck an hour for your enjoyment. So it all depends on how you look at it.

Do the games include something close to Puzzle Quest or Atari Classics Evolved? Cause I might want to get it if those are the type in Lumines.

Lumines has one purpose imo. To downgrade the PSP back to 1.5. other than thart, it sucks.
