No, don't use the gimp.
Use Photoshop, it too is free, and it's the industry standard. It's worth it you want to use it for real.
GIMP is okay for a casual user, but its performance is poor, the interface is awful and the range and quality of the tools varies. Why even try to go through with that, if you can either for free?
If your serious about anything, or say, you want a professional looking logo, or your own art for something such as a DJ advert, it's worth getting and learning photoshop. | |
