Well I think the purpose of these contests is to draw more active users to the site, so restricting it to only currently registered users would kind of defeat that purpose...

This is my first post since I registered.The competition would be a great way to unite and invite pspmod users to open their minds and communicate in a friendly way through the upcoming holidays!
P.S.:It would be very nice if the psp would be granted to any user from any country.But I guess no one minds if this is only local and surely everyone agrees that it would be most satisfying if the winner is a person who hasn't got a psp.Cheers and good luck to you all!

Nope, I'm against Canada2113, I think that excludes people who really want to get into the community and that would turn this into a closed-contest, so no point here. I think the main idea of contests like this one is get to know more people and have more people in the community, so I think that we should all get equal opportunities

...see people like you turdot, ajfoucault and anyone under 10 post count who just signed up ruin others chances. They just sign up right away hoping to get a psp. I wonder if the psp is going to have custom firmware.

meh... not a bad idea but idk whether he means like only "senior members" or not. that would suck for the rest of us trying to win it, eh? how about only users registered before the contest was posted? man idk. but whatev. admins rules. plus this could draw new people in... as long as im eligible to win its all good dogg.

I thought I made myself clear when I said that the psp would be a great gift for a new user...I meant to exclude myself from the potential winners not just because I own a psp but also for the fact that I have no intention on ruining chances for anyone.I joined before the contest started and if it would make you feel better I would gladly agree not to post over the limit and therefore not enter the contest! See it's all about the quality of your posts.If you post crap just to get 50 then you'll probably be excluded from the contest but if you help people and actually know what your talking about you'll be entered.At this moment everyone has a 1 in 39,313 chance to win.When more people register it will go up.SO the only thing you can really do is just act like there is no contest and just keep going like everything is normal.
