well this is buzzing all over the internet: google, yahoo, msn..everywhere, and its been on espn and nfl network for ever..i mean, what do we do now? farve a jet quarterback? and the terms are just stupid..oh man oh man...and it just hit me, madden is now officially fucked...because EA will not change the cover..this is going to be a funny year..we will see what happens

Brett Favre, a former quarterback to the green bay packers. He played football for a long time, even before I was born.. I think. He said he was going to retire a few times, but always came back. This was supposed to the final decision, last season he announced he was going to retire, but now Hercules is saying Brett's gonna be a jet.

oh he didnt explain it well...he played for 16 years up to the 07-08 season...with one team, then he was OFFICIALLY retired...about two months later he came out of retirement and got reinstated into the NFL, the packers (his home team) offered him $25 million to stay retired to avoid competition with another quarterback on the team, he said no and came back into the NFL, he felt he wasnt welcomed, so he was traded to the New York Jets for $12 million...yeah you tell me that isnt funny..oh yeah he is on the cover of madden 09...wearing his home team jersey, but before the season even started, he is already traded...thats the funny part

favre actually started his career with the falcons. HE was drafted by them. It doesnt matter if brett was traded for the madden cover. This is an anniversary addition celebrating football and its greatest platyers. Favre played in Green Bay during the best times of his career. I would hate to see him in a Jets uniform on the cover.
