Just wanted to chime in real quick. I know wow isn't the first game to have a dual mode disc, my starcraft disc from way back contains both the windows and OS 9 installers on the same disc. And ua, correct me if I'm way off base here, but I've concocted a diabolical scheme...ok, so you say leopard will be totally unix compatible right? And it will work on g4/g5 ppc machines? so in theory...couldn't you install Xine/cedega and run windows games on your ppc mac from under leopard? I know last year one of my buddies wanted to mess with it under ubuntu that he was running on his ibook to get old cs 1.5 running, but his dumbass didn't install gcc and I didn't feel like messing with it at the time. hmmm....I just might try that on my ibook this summer (with linux of course, since it wouldn't run leopard).... |

I did not make the conection before, but windows gaming on OS X without the need of paralell desktop. Nice. |

Damn it. I'm regretting that I ever bought this $1300 Toshiba laptop. For roughly the same amount of $$$, I could of had a macbook for roughly the same price ($200 more for more ram/larger hardrive) with a faster processor, more ram, and a kickass unix-based OS.
Now, how customizable is OS X, and is dual booting with linux a possibility on the new intel macs? |

I use shapeshifter to switch GUI themes on the fly. It also does icon sets. Look for it in my upcoming must have mac apps thread.
Right now I am about to throw this linksys WRT54g in the pool since it has decided to give me problems. I am on the PC closest to the router right now trying to get this thing to work and cable swapping like a mad man. I want to post some stuff but My mac is netless thanks to this POS linksys.
As far as your task bar, I got a trick up my sleeve for that, but you will have to wait until I can get this crap going.
**I defeated the linksys with my skillz.** |

one of the macs i found on ebay had a radeon 9700 in it, but it only had 64mb of video... any way to use more physical ram to act as video card ram? a 9700 is better then what my desktop pc has, and id be very happy with that chip in my future mac |

I dont know about re-distributing Ram for video. There is possibly an App for that. I will check at my Mac video card forum.
You can use ATIccelerator II to overclock the frequency and RAM speeds on ATI cards. On the fly at that. |
