hmm is the psp usb cable a custom shape or does it match with some common devices i may have junked in the past? I mean, I have no problem dropping the 5 bucks for the cable but if I don't have to drive to walmart thats good aswell

if you used it on a mp3 player, camera, or something similar then it most likely is..Why dont you just try them?

it's a mini a I think, same as a lot of camera's. I use the one with the usb and charger built in, much better for updating and for keeping the psp charged up.

Hrmm my camera has a dock...damn, my mp3 player happens to be an ipod...double damn

Thanks anyway, I knew i saw that type of usb interface before...maybe i can nab my neighbors cord...

The cable is a Usb MiniB five pin.
(I bought a PS3 controller recharging cable. Ten feet. Five bucks less than any other cable.)

I'm just about to embark on a mission to downgrade my 2.01 PP to 1.50 and then install some CFW also so i thought i better give u the benefit of my knowlege in case i (*cough*) Brick (*cough*) it and slip into a depression. HeHe. I just bought a 60Gb Packard Bell Store'n'Play hard drive and that takes the same USB lead as my PSP. Just in casethat helps anyone. Fingers crossed for my next maneuver.......

There is a guy that lives in the same city as me that does "un-bricking" and his website is: www DOT foundmy DOT com

He does have the battery and special memory card to do it and once done it defaults back to the 1.5 firmware. Takes about 2 mins from start to finish
